In the publisher's brown diagonal fine-ribbed cloth binding, with black-stamped ruled and floral decorated borders, with gilt-stamped circular floral ornamental corner devices, black and gilt-stamped ruled and ornamental panels, with titling, and an onlay with full-color vignette of thatched cottage by duck pond on the front panel; black-stamped ruled and ornamental head and tail bands, and floral decorations, black and gilt-stamped decorative running titling on the spine; and a repetition of the black stamping from the front on the rear panel, except executed in blind stamp. All edges gilt, with buff endpapers. Extremely faint evidence of moisture to the spine heel, with some light rubbing to the corners and tips. An exquisite example, better than very good.
