MIXIT Cocktail Recipes
St. Louis, Missouri: McKesson-Merrell Drug Co., circa 1935. This pocket-size (2 1/4" by 2 1/4") volvelle is made of black plastic and cardstock. When the wheel is spun, the number and name of a cocktail recipe appears in the window, including such delights as the Bronx, made with equal parts dry gin, dry vermouth, and orange juice. The Manhattan recipe calls for 1/2 rye, 1/2 Italian vermouth, maraschino cherry, and a dash of bitters - not a recipe enjoyed by this bookseller. Item #80104
