Octavo, two volumes: ix, [1], 402 pp. + iv, 455, [1, blank] pp. with a frontispiece in each volume. Full purple calf bindings by S. Hogg, with red and green morocco spine labels, gilt-stamped titling, borders, and ornamentation, five raised bands, blind-stamped dentelles, and marbled endpapers and edges. Faint tide mark to the upper margin of the frontispiece in the first volume, with a period ink gift inscription from one Eton student to another on the prefatory blank leaf.
