Printed by Richomme in Paris. 18mo: [vi], [viii, Calendrier pour l'an 1818], [xii],156, [16] pp. with 6 full-page plates with tissue guards, all fine steel engravings by Fr. Janet, Leroux, after paintings by l’Albane, Pierre de Cortonne, Gérard, Lana, and Elisabeth Sirani. The 13 monthly notes pages with decorated borders, all steel engravings. In the publisher's lilac coated paper-covered card binding, with black-printed ruled borders, rule and ornamental frame and central lyre device on each panel, and black-printed ruled borders, rule and ornamental panels, and running titling along the spine. All edges gilt, with buff endpapers and a tan paper lifting ribbon, let in at the top (mostly lacking), on the front pastedown. Just a hint of foxing to the prefatory and concluding leaves; else a remarkable example - unseen color! Accompanied by the publisher's matching coated paper-covered card vertical slipcase, and housed in a custom gray cloth clamshell box with a gilt-stamped gray morocco spine label.
