CHOLO #3
San Francisco: 1980. Remarkable record of Cholo culture in San Francisco’s Mission District, filled with visual representations of graffiti, gangs, lowriders, tattoos, fashion, sexuality, etc. Edited by Ed Silvera and distributed by Gary Arlington’s San Francisco Comic Book Company. Includes numerous photographs, as well as original art by Don, Rojelio Del Fuego, Crazy Boy, and others. Quarto: 107 p. Produced in a style reminiscent of science fiction fanzines of the period: photomechanically reproduced on one side of 8 1/2” x 11” sheets of paper of various colors and bound with brads. A remarkably clean and bright example of this scarce and much sought after zine.
Accompanied by the revival compilations, issued in 1996 and 1997, respectively, as Arte de la Mission #2 and #3, and a "Brown Pride" patch. Item #78668
