SOO LINE MAP OF NORTH DAKOTA
Minneapolis: Soo Line Railway, circa 1930. Depression-era promotional map issued by the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad, commonly known as the Soo Line, which filed for bankruptcy in 1937 and is now part of the regional Soo Line Railroad. The map was drawn by the Poole Brothers of Chicago and shows the state in pale yellow, with the county borders in bright yellow, railroad lines in red, and waterways in blue. The verso features five photographic illustrations and a thorough accounting of the agricultural opportunities available to the settler.
Printed on both sides of 23 ¾” x 20 ¾”, which fold to envelope size. Just a hint of toning, with a few splits and tears along the seams; else very good. OCLC locates no holdings of this issue, with a handful of earlier renditions. Item #78135
