DRIVING AND CYCLING ROAD MAP OF BERMUDA
New York: J.M. Farnsworth, 1898. Second edition, revised and corrected. Color photolithograph map showing the best cycling routes on the island, with the roads coded as “best”, “good”, or “poor”. Additionally, there is a detailed inset of the City of Hamilton.
The map is printed on a 28” x 11 ¼” sheet and folds into printed paper-covered boards with a burgundy buckram spine. The front panel features an illustration of a man cycling down a road lined with palm trees. Two small splits at internal seams, with some faint evidence of moisture along the top edge. The boards are toned and a little warped; else very good. OCLC locates only two holdings of this 1898 issue, at Yale and the American Antiquarian Society. Item #78128
