The letters LIV, LV & LVII, suppressed in some editions, are included here but numbered LV-LVI, LVIII. 12mo: 249, [3] pp. Period full calf binding, with a red calf spine label, decorative gilt stamping, and five raised bands. Some occasional light foxing, with a bit of chipping along the extremities of each flyleaf. The bookplate of Charles Carroll (1737-1832) appears on the front pastedown. The binding is darkened along the spine and extremities, with expert Kozo paper restoration to the spine and along the joints, and shallow loss to the corners and tips. Good. Item #77868
