Dubbed the "Patron Saint of the Weird" by Village Voice, Howie Pyro (born Howard Kusten, 1960-2022) was a veteran of the New York punk and underground scenes, best known for his work with D Generation and Danzig. Bonge began his photographic journey in the mid-1970s and played a crucial role in featuring tattoo imagery in Biker magazine. He later became the lead photographer for International Tattoo, traveling around the world to capture the finest examples of modern tattoo art.
