Julesburg, Colorado: circa 1960. The Little Brown Jug was a midcentury favorite among locals and travelers. Die cut in the shape of a brown jug, this eight-page menu (4" x 5 1/4") was intended as a mailer, with space for an address and stamp on the rear panel. The Little Brown Jug lounge was incorporated into the Brown Hotel in 1948. Food service started in 1954. The hotel was sold in 1970 and shortly thereafter destroyed in a fire. Light toning to the extremities, with a tiny pinhole along the left edge; else very good or better. Item #77309
