ORIGINAL PRODUCTION ART FOR SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Grumpy on Deer Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Grumpy rides to the rescue on a reindeer in this original drawing from Disney's first animated feature film. These two drawings are in graphite and colored pencil with a red pencil border, with an image size of 7" x 5".
In 1989, the United States Library of Congress deemed Disney's Snow White "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and selected it as one of the first 25 films for preservation in the National Film Registry. The American Film Institute ranked it among the 100 greatest American films, and also named the film as the greatest American animated film of all time in 2008.
The images have been professionally mounted and framed. They were acquired at a Los Angeles County Public Assessor's auction in the early 1990s, and are being sold on behalf of the family of Roger Gozdecki. Item #77129
