TORO … CHOICE OF CHAMPIONS
Minneapolis: Toro Manufacturing Corporation, circa 1950. An early brochure featuring Toro’s line of push mowers, circa 1950. This advertising piece provides aa description and specifications of the Sport Lawn, Starlawn, and Whirlwind mowers, as well as the Zipper power sickle. The rear panel pictures three legendary golfers alongside their endorsement: “Sam Snead, Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson who play on some of the most beautiful turf in the country, choose Toro to keep their own lawns in trim. They’ve seen Toro mowers in action on many fine golf courses … they know Toro’s the choice of particular greenkeepers from coast to coast.”
Printed in green, gray, black, and red on a 26 ½” long sheet designed with a sloping top edge to allow a tab effect. The piece folds to 3 3/8” x 6 1/8” (16 panels).
