HARLEY STROKERS MOTORCYCLE CLUB NEWSLETTERS
Portland, Oregon: 1990. Two newsletters - June and July 1990 - for the Harley Strokers MC. Both are stapled and were folded and taped for mailing (addressed to a club member in Berkeley, California). The June issue is photomechanically reproduced on standard 8 1/2" x 11" white stock (8 p.), and the July issue on peach paper. Includes maps, a reservation form, notes on other upcoming events, letters from members, and photographs of club members with their motorcycles.
Other topics include Sturgis, Daytona Bike Week '90, Easyriders. There are also motorcycle tips and classified ads, as well as cultural and political commentary: "It's time numbnut people got it through their heads that people are born gay [...] Try walking in a gay-lesbian biker's boots before you sound off!" and "Politicians like Danemayer and Helms are enemies of both bikers and gays. The epitome of Big Brother, they hate what freedom we still have."
