HOW TO LIGHT YOUR HOME BY ELECTRICITY
Philadelphia: The Electric Storage Battery Company, 1910. An early marketing piece promoting sales of the chloride accumulator battery in residential homes. Electricity, as its delivered today by transmission lines, did not become common in homes until the 1920s. The Electric Storage Battery Company (ESB), founded near Philadelphia in 1888, sold its chloride accumulator battery for $400, plus installation and the cost of wiring. Pamphlet (4" x 7 3/4"): 20 p. with illustrations. Bound with two staples in the original printed paper wrappers. The ink stamps of a Williamsport, Pennsylvania "local representative" appear on the front panel. Minor creasing along the extremities; otherwise very good. Scarce, OCLC locates only three holdings: Hagley Museum, Winterthur Museum, Canadian Centre for Architecture. Item #77016
