The author's first book. Associated with the modernist school of poetry, MacLeish (1892-1981) was the ninth Librarian of Congress, a post he accepted at the urging of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the recipient of three Pulitzer Prizes for his work. Small octavo: 71 p. Original paper-covered boards, with printed paper title labels.
