KENTUCKY LAND WARRANT (1807)
A printed Kentucky Land Office Warrant with manuscript annotations issued to John Rochester on July 11, 1807 for thirty acres of land in consideration of $5. The warrant, signed by John M. Foster, allowed the bearer to “survey and lay off in one or more surveys” 30 acres of land. The property location is not described. The document includes an official government seal. It is stained with an ink spot and apparent exposure to prior moisture and toned, with creasing from prior folds, and about an inch of splitting along one fold, but is still quite legible.
