Dobson (1840-1921) was an English poet, critic, and biographer whose love and knowledge of the 18th century lent a graceful elegance to his verse. Eight plates, including the frontispiece portrait by W. Strang. Octavo, two volumes. In full red calf bindings by Bumpus, with lovely Art Nouveau designs stamped in gilt, five raised bands, and ornamental dentelles.
