A deceptively small-scale tragedy concerning three high-minded grifters who plot to rob a man of his coin collection, the showpiece of which is a valuable buffalo nickel. Winner of the 1977 New York Drama Critics' Award for Best American Play. Illustrated with five wood engravings by Michael McCurdy. The type is DeVinne, composed in text sizes by Monotype at M & H Type and in display sizes by hand. The paper is Byron Weston Linen Record, all cotton fiber. The wood blocks and the type were printed on a Miller TW cylinder press. Quarto. Full green linen binding, with a buffalo nickel inset on the front panel and printed silver paper title labels. The spine is very lightly faded; else fine. Accompanied by THE CABIN (1992), bound in brown paper wrappers with a wood veneer title label, and limited to 500 copies. Fine. Item #71147
