His route in Persia takes him to Tabriz, Maraghe and Kermanshah, and then to Baghdad" (Ghani, p.170). Octavo: xii, 335 p., 17 full-page plates, 18 textual illustrations, and two maps, including the folding map at the rear. Original green cloth binding, with gilt and black titles. Small library ink stamp to the front pastedown, with a tiny bit of foxing to the endpapers and edges. The boards are especially fresh and bright. Very good. Item #69846
