Initially deployed to Melbourne, where it admitted more than 35,000 patients, the 4th General Hospital was relocated to Finschhaven and then Manila where it was demobilized following the Japanese surrender. Includes a photographic roster of officers, nurses, and enlisted men, as well as numerous photographs of the unit's facilities, recreational activities, etc. Quarto.
