There are some interesting accounts of discussions with tribal leaders. The author also has a good eye for the countryside and there are some excellent descriptions" (Ghani, Cyrus: Iran and the West, p.349-50). Includes seven color folding maps. Octavo, two volumes. Original patterned teal cloth beveled bindings, with gilt and black stamping. Largely uncut. The small bookplate of Edna C. DeVoy appears on the verso of each front flyleaf.
