Includes a lengthy account of the expedition led by Joseph Walker, whom Bonneville sent west to California in search of new fur sources. Octavo, three volumes. In late 19th century one-half tan calf over decorative paper bindings, with decorative gilt stamping, red and green morocco spine labels, five raised bands, and marbled endpapers. "Whittinghame Library" is stamped in gilt adjacent to the front joint. Small spot of discoloration to the spine head of the first volume. The leather has been expertly refurbished. A very good set.
