Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Robert Herrick (1868-1938) joined the English Department at the University of Chicago in 1893 and taught there for 30 years. His work is noted for its realistic portrayal of the corrupting influences of American city life. Octavo. Original red cloth binding, with gilt titles.
