Presentation copy, inscribed by Armitage to Edwin Lester (1895-1990), the longtime general director of the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera, which he founded in 1938, on the front flyleaf. Quarto. Original blue paper-covered boards over a blue cloth spine with gilt titles. Faint staining to the bottom edge. Minor fading and wear to the extremities of the boards.
