It deals with the comparative merits of the Catholic and Anglican churches as heirs of Judaism, and with the topical question of Italian unification. From the library of Henry Jeffrey Flower, 6th Viscount Ashbrook, with a small bookplate featuring the family crest on the front pastedown and his signature and brief notations to the prefatory leaves. 12mo. In a one-half dark blue over marbled paper binding, with a red morocco spine label, four raised bands, and decorative gilt stamping. Some mild foxing to the prefatory and concluding leaves. The spine is very lightly sun faded; otherwise very good and quite lovely. Very good. Item #69908
